About the role

This position is responsible for managing the library media center, overseeing the implementation of the school’s curriculum, and providing support to students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage the library media center, ensuring resources are organized and accessible.
• Oversee the implementation of the school’s curriculum, including technology integration.
• Support students and staff by providing reference materials, research assistance, and digital learning resources.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into lesson plans.
• Organize and facilitate book clubs, author visits, and other literacy-related events.
• Maintain updated records of all materials and ensure compliance with copyright laws.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Experience in a school library setting preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a large volume of materials.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current trends in education and library services.
• Proficiency in using various software programs for cataloging and managing library resources.
• Experience with digital learning tools and platforms.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
