About the role
This position is responsible for managing the library media center, overseeing the implementation of the school’s curriculum, and providing support to students and staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage the library media center, ensuring resources are organized and accessible.
- Oversee the implementation of the school’s curriculum, including technology integration.
- Support students and staff by providing reference materials, research assistance, and digital learning resources.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into lesson plans.
- Organize and facilitate book clubs, author visits, and other literacy-related events.
- Maintain updated records of all materials and ensure compliance with copyright laws.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program.
- Experience in a school library setting preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a large volume of materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of current trends in education and library services.
- Proficiency in using various software programs for cataloging and managing library resources.
- Experience with digital learning tools and platforms.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Schedule
