Team Supervisor

About the role

Northwest Center is looking for a dynamic Team Supervisor to oversee ship-provisioning operations in Bremerton and Everett. This hands-on, outdoor role involves supervising and supporting the loading of provisions onto naval vessels, ensuring seamless logistics operations rain or shine. The position contributes to the organization's mission of empowering individuals with disabilities.

Schedule

Monday–Sunday, hours vary. Ability to commute between Bremerton and Everett locations required.

Pay

$22.50–$24.00 per hour, plus $5.09 per hour Health & Welfare additional compensation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead ship loading teams in Bremerton and Everett, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to loading schedules
• Train, mentor, and support team members of diverse abilities, providing guidance and creating opportunities for skill development
• Collaborate with logistics and operations managers to optimize loading processes and resource allocation
• Maintain a strong focus on safety protocols and ensure all team members follow safety guidelines and procedures
• Foster a culture of inclusivity, respect, and teamwork among team members

Requirements

• Demonstrated successful management or supervision experience
• Prior Material Handling experience or general labor experience
• Ability to operate motorized and manual material handling equipment, including 15-passenger vans, light and medium-sized trucks, and forklifts
• Ability to lift and move goods weighing 40–70 lbs consistently
• Ability to work in small enclosed areas onboard vessels under varying temperatures (hot/cold)
• Ability to walk up and down ladders and stand for long periods
• Valid driver’s license and experience driving a passenger van
• U.S. citizenship
• Ability to pass a Naval Clearance background check
