ApplegreenUSA operates over 80 travel plazas across the Northeast and Midwest, offering convenience, comfort, retail, and a wide range of food options including Auntie Anne’s, Burger King, Chick-fil-A, Cinnabon, Dunkin Donuts, Panda Express, Panera, Popeyes, Pret, Shake Shack, Starbucks, and more.

Team Members hired during peak business periods (April 1st through September 30th) will be classified as Seasonal employees. Seasonal employees are eligible for Flex (Sick Time), Earned Wage Access, the Employee Referral Bonus, and a Meal Discount.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service through positive, helpful interactions with travelers.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, process accurate payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures, including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and temperature checks.
• Complete kitchen-related tasks such as prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstations and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Perform additional assigned tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend, twist, lift, and carry at least 40 pounds.
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, policies, and converse with customers.
• Available for a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

Skills

• Friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing interactions with the public and coworkers.
• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
