Team Member, Distribution and Logistics
As a Distribution & Logistics Team Member at Bath Fitter's Tennessee Manufacturing Plant, you'll play a vital role in ensuring raw materials, inventory, and finished products move efficiently throughout our operation. From receiving inbound materials to preparing customer shipments, your work directly supports the production and delivery of our premium acrylic bathtubs and shower systems.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Receive, unload, inspect, and store inbound materials and shipments
- Pick, stage, package, and prepare customer orders for shipment
- Load and unload trailers while ensuring shipment accuracy
- Read and interpret shipping schedules, pick lists, bills of lading, and shipping documentation
- Verify shipment quantities, packaging, and documentation before products leave the facility
- Transport raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods throughout the plant
- Support production by staging materials and replenishing inventory
- Complete inventory transactions using handheld scanners and inventory systems
- Perform inventory cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies
- Process stock transfers, material movements, and shipping paperwork
- Maintain accurate shipping logs and operational records
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety policies and procedures
Requirements
- 1-2 years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Forklift operating experience
- Experience using handheld barcode/RF scanners
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, safety procedures, and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a team environment
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and perform repetitive movement throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise, moving equipment, heat, and humidity
