Team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability as variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly employees. Primary responsibilities include ensuring guests receive exceptional service while working in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. Team members must act as representatives of Regal, adhering to our mission statement and policies, including regular attendance, handling emergency situations, performing general cleaning duties, and complying with the company dress code.
Responsibilities
- Box Office
- Operate POS system, handling cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed discount tickets, passes, and coupons with accuracy
- Upsell and suggestively sell Premium Viewing Experiences (3D, RPX, IMAX)
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program
- Sell tickets in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy
- Respond to phone calls and guest questions in line with guest service philosophy
- Concession
- Operate POS system, handling cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, redeemed coupons, and concession stock inventory accurately
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program
- Operate, prepare, and clean all concession-related equipment
- Upsell and suggestively sell products
- Comply with all local, state, and federal food safety laws
- Adhere to federal and state laws regarding breaks and/or meal periods
- Maintain required alcohol certification and training where applicable
- If assigned to sell/serve alcohol, must be of legal age according to state or local laws
- Usher
- Tear tickets, collect stubs, and direct patrons to auditoriums
- Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable
- Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats
- Enforce the MPAA rating system
- Conduct in-theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, prevent theft, and maintain a safe environment
- Report problems, discrepancies, or unusual situations to management
- Perform in-auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed
- Clean auditoriums after scheduled shows and maintain restrooms, lobby, hallways, and other areas
- Monitor cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
- Complete training on topics such as sexual harassment and discrimination
Qualifications
- Education/Experience
- Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as a box office cashier, or progress toward completion, is required
- If assigned to sell/serve alcohol, must complete legally required state or local training and obtain certification, as well as complete Regal’s Responsible Beverage Server training
- Language Ability
- Possess good public speaking skills, listen effectively, and respond clearly and directly

- Perform calculations with speed and accuracy, and identify and correct errors

- Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
- Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- May occasionally lift up to 60 pounds
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Pay
$15.49/hour
