Responsibilities

• Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship) using RF barcode scanning devices, WMS applications, and other shipping applications.
• Load and unload batteries.
• Restock, charge, clean, date, and rewrap rotation batteries.
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries.
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment.
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims.
• Operate a forklift and maintain current certification.
• Properly tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship).
• Perform general warehousing duties such as restocking shelves and housekeeping of assigned areas.
• Multi-task and quickly transition between functions/tasks.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by warehouse distributor management.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
• No experience required; warehouse operations experience preferred (including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack, and stretch-wrap machine).
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Sense of urgency and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs without assistance; occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
• Consistent walking or standing during shift.
• Repetitive taping of boxes.
• Overtime required as deemed necessary.
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.

Work Environment

• Exposure to battery warehouse conditions, including moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles.
• Exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.
