About the role
Operates machinery and performs activities necessary for production of Hexagon Agility products. Activities include reading and understanding machine instructions, safety manuals, process specifications, and other work instructions.
Responsibilities
- Perform work per standard procedures, process specifications, and other work instructions.
- Read and understand machine instructions, safety manuals, process specifications, and other documentation necessary to produce quality product.
- Set-up and tear down production machinery, validate progress of machine’s work, and adjust as necessary.
- Assemble parts to match product specifications either by hand or with tools (hand tools and power tools).
- Perform routine minor maintenance.
- Identify potential hazards and align with company safety policies and procedures.
- Encourage teammates to input safety involvement to reduce risk and eliminate hazards.
- Notify appropriate chain of command with quality or production issues, with the ability to offer solutions and suggestions on how to address the issue.
- Respect and support leadership, co-workers, and subordinates.
- Work closely with other team members in accomplishing individual and team member training goals, communicating any concerns.
- Consistently demonstrate commitment to Hexagon’s values of Integrity and Drive in all aspects of employment.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain 5S in work area.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong work ethic, high integrity, and drive.
- Ability to work various shifts and available for overtime.
Skills
- Ability to accurately use measuring devices (pi-tape, air pressure gauges, etc.).
- Ability to operate power tools (hand saws, drill guns, jig saw, etc.).
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read detailed instructions.
- Provide accurate record keeping.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Proven success in the training of co-workers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment with a strong sense of urgency.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment and work independently.

- Frequently required to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours per day) and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Moderately required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds on a regular basis and up to 120 lbs with assistance on an occasional basis (team lift available).
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- May work additional days outside established work schedule to achieve production goals as necessary.
- Work in the plant and outdoors in the field, subject to all weather conditions, sometimes including extreme cold and heat.
- Wearing all PPE depending on circumstance, which may include: safety glasses, hard hat, ear protection, leather gloves, safety vest, and steel-toed boots.
