About the role
The Team Leader, Warehouse Logistics guides a team of warehouse and Logistics operators in the detailed coordination of complex operations involving many people, facilities, materials and supplies in a high paced manufacturing environment. The position can lead and perform receiving, material transfers, inventory audits and control, and the issuance and return of materials to manufacturing and packaging.
Responsibilities
- Planning, scheduling, and leading of warehouse & logistics team performing receiving, shipping, transfer operations, and the supply & return of materials to and from production and manufacturing, control of inventory and associated daily reports.
- Oversee the transfer and replenishment of materials between facilities and distribution centers, in accordance with production campaign schedules, to ensure manufacturing efficiencies are maintained.
- Foster teamwork, between buildings on your shift, as well as between shifts & cross functionally.
- Oversee and ensure all warehouse equipment is in safe operating condition and receives regular maintenance by conducting daily equipment inspections and reporting any equipment issues immediately to maintenance.
- Operate standup reach and sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment in a safe and appropriate manner more than 25% of the time.
- Support management’s efforts towards continuous improvement in processes, safety, and great place to work culture.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of inventory control & materials warehouse processes
- Excellent leadership and team building skills in multi-facility production manufacturing, packaging, and warehouse setting
- Receiving, Shipping and inventory control of raw materials, components and finished goods in a FDA, GMP environment
- Ability to analyze data and develop reports
- Develop logical processes & techniques
- Must be able to communicate effectively, have a sense of urgency
- Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
- Ability to resolve problems
- Experience: 4 years of experience in warehouse operations and operating standup reach and sit-down forklifts
- 1 year of leadership experience
- MS Office (Access, Excel, Word, Power point, Outlook) intermediate level RF scanner use in inquiries and product transfers
- Must have clean driving record
- Education: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Prior OSHA Forklift certification
- Two (1) years of experience in an FDA, cGMP regulated manufacturing environment
- Oracle software experience preferred
