Team Leader - Task (York, SC)

About the Role

The Crew Leader is responsible for leading a team of employees to complete daily and weekly tasks on time. They will record and report the time taken to complete each task.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Train and motivate team members to reach daily production goals
• Conduct crew meetings to provide clear instruction on daily tasks
• Ensure safety policies are being followed at all times
• Set up all work areas
• Inspect the quality of all products
• Maintain open communication with Manager and Directors
• Complete all daily reports
• Ensure employees follow safety requirements and operational processes
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• 1+ year(s) experience in a leadership role
• 1+ year(s) experience in Manufacturing/Warehouse environment
• Strong leadership skills and ability to give/receive constructive feedback
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work and communicate across multiple departments
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and solution-seeking abilities
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
• Must be able to work in various types of weather conditions
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic Office 365 skills in Excel, Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Work Setting & Physical Demands

This position is primarily outdoors but may require working between locations and within an indoor office environment for administrative duties, including computer and standard office equipment use. Fluency in reading, writing, and understanding English is required.

• Must be able to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens
• Occasional need to work in confined spaces
• Requires long-term ability for standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, and twisting on a regular basis
• Must be able to operate all machinery necessary within the department and across the facility, including table lifters and internal vehicles (certification required)
• Ability to lift 35 pounds unaided and regularly lift up to 50 pounds with assistance

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position supervises but does not directly manage a section of the Task team.
