The Department

The Digital Health Division is responsible for enabling clinical staff to deliver timely, quality care to our patients and carers through innovative use of information technologies, and through strategic management of information and data across the organisation.

The Digital Health division encompasses all aspects of:

  • Information technology procurement, delivery, security and support.
  • Electronic Medical Record and a suite of Clinical Applications, Technologies and Products
  • Digital Technology
  • Data Governance and research
  • Cybersecurity
  • Transformation

The Role

The Technical Projects Team Lead is responsible for providing leadership, management and direction to project managers and teams delivering Digital Health projects. The role will also be responsible for leading and managing larger projects and programs.

  • Develops team members and shares knowledge and expertise with a view to increasing overall team knowledge base.
  • Fosters a focus on excellence across the team.
  • Instigates and promotes/fosters a culture of sharing ideas and taking initiative.
  • Supports the team through transitions, demonstrating effective change leadership and role modelling behaviours.
  • Develops and maintains a culture within the team which emphasises strong customer service and ongoing development of efficient work practices. Encourages and facilitates effective teamwork.
  • Supervision of work done by staff, including appropriate monitoring of deliverables to ensure quality outcome.
  • Maintains workload and turnaround times. Escalates to manager with recommendations, as appropriate.
  • Conducts six monthly performance and development reviews with assigned staff members to set defined goals.
  • Establishes structures and mechanisms for portfolio management and project prioritisation, organisation, governance and oversight.
  • Manages the portfolio of technical projects.
  • Leads the implementation of portfolio and project management processes, methods, tools, guidelines and standards within Digital Health.
  • Provides leadership and direction to the Technical Projects Team, ensuring most efficient use of their skills and abilities, in order to deliver a high quality, timely service across Bayside Health.

Skills

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or similar discipline
  • Qualification in Project Management
  • ITIL Foundation desirable
