Team Leader, Operations Quality 1
About the role
This is an entry training level for a supervisory role. This job is a working level and typically reports into a first-level manager. Provides leadership to employees performing routine work within a single function or work group. Work is performed within established professional standards and practices. Receives detailed assignments and follows established processes to meet the goals of the unit. Develops schedules and enforces policies and procedures. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the department’s operations, schedules, and/or performance goals.
Responsibilities
- Review defects found by Quality Inspector, prepare report, notify and work with team for correction and drive for solution.
- Verify and take the defect photo and submit NCMR (Non-conforming material report) to respective MRB team member.
- Plan the working hours and overtime schedule of employees under his/her working shift (Quality Support 1-3). Generate and submit daily/weekly incoming quality performance reports. (Z0LG, High Aging part that waiting IQA inspection, Under verification)
- Provides direct supervision and training to employees (Quality Support 1-3) performing routine work. Monitor the performance IQA daily output, IQA backlog and high aging part that waiting IQA inspection
- Maintain good housekeeping and ensure 5S activities are conducted. Monitor and review performance, attendance and disciplinary of Quality Inspector. Identify IQA training requirements and do training record for IQA inspectors. Assist Engineer to review the conversion part and baking the failed MSD packaging.
- Stop the line and escalate the quality incident to the Manager, as necessary. Request the brokerbuy lab analysis, bring sample to FA Lab and send the Lab result to MQE
- Priorities incoming material for inspection to support production lines
Requirements
Four to six years relevant experience. Bachelor's degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications
Knowledge of the product quality requirements, customer requirements (IPC-A-610, workmanship, cosmetic spec.) and the tools and equipment used in the inspection process. Knowledge of ISO Standards and general company's rules / procedures. Knowledge of sampling plan procedure (AQL). Knowledge of basic quality tools. Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate employees (Quality Support 1-3). Ability to communicate and coordinate with various functions.
Physical Demands
- Duties of this position are performed in a manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc.
- Duties may require periodic sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
