About the role
The Manufacturing Team Leader at Applied Medical plays a critical role in driving operational excellence on the production floor. This position ensures the efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing of innovative medical devices that support patient care worldwide. As a key leader within the manufacturing team, the Manufacturing Team Leader oversees Production Associates, optimizes workflows, and fosters collaboration across departments to meet organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a large team of Production Associates, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Monitor and manage daily production processes to achieve timely and accurate manufacturing of medical devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, logistics, and engineering, to streamline workflows and resolve production challenges.
- Train and develop team members on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and quality control measures.
- Facilitate communication between team members and other departments to maintain smooth operations and alignment on priorities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing process enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory documentation and company policies throughout all manufacturing activities.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven history of leading large teams.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to work in cleanroom and laboratory environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred
- Two to three years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing teams in medical device manufacturing or similar regulated industries.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address production challenges.
- Familiarity with Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP) or similar enterprise systems.
