About the role
Responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities within the assigned area to achieve established objectives. Coordinate work assignments and facilitate safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and training for the assigned team.
This is an on-site position requiring 5 days per week.
This is a safety-sensitive role that may require additional drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Work the line in multiple stations.
- Think critically and problem-solve issues on the line; escalate as needed.
- Train team members on safety, company policy, scheduling, overtime, standard work, and NCMS.
- Train on communication, MDI Board, LGS, and leadership skills.
- Ensure pull system and business standards (including TAKT sheet expectations, escalation processes) are followed.
- Provide tactful communication to peers and leaders.
Team Lead I
- Perform all core responsibilities listed above.
Team Lead II
- Perform all core responsibilities.
- Work with 9 steps, NCMS, BBS, MDI Board, 5S, TPM, and run GEMBA/LGS.
- Write or rewrite standard work, conduct standard work audits, and drive continuous improvement and safety culture.
- Cover for WGM when not present.
- Manage line schedule, overtime, and personnel training/scheduling.
- Ensure TAKT expectations are met; jump in to get the line back on track and document misses.
- Responsible for safety and quality in the assigned zone.
Team Lead III
- Perform all core and Team Lead II responsibilities.
- Use 5 Whys to reduce future occurrences and document misses on paramo.
- Drive continuous improvement for the line year-over-year (10% target).
- Conduct safety audits throughout the line.
- Drive the line to meet quality metrics using BOS tools.
- Work with WGM to achieve plant KPIs.
Requirements
Team Lead I
- Minimum 1-year experience with Data Stream, NCMS, BBS.
- Crane certified.
Team Lead II
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Data Stream, NCMS, BBS, schedules, MDI board.
- Basic knowledge of Excel and Word.
- TLDP Graduate or Weld Certification.
Team Lead III
- Minimum 2 years of experience in addition to TLDP Graduate.
- Experience with Data Stream, NCMS, BBS, schedules, MDI board.
- Basic knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Weld Certification.
Pay
Hourly base pay range: $27.07 - $31.63. Compensation is tailored to factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
This role is incentive eligible but not sales commission eligible.
