Team Leader, Health Beauty AND Wellness

About the Role

As a Health, Beauty and Wellness Team Leader, you’ll help reinvent, evolve, and execute our selling strategy to create shopping experiences that differentiate our products and services from specialty, mass, or traditional retailers. You’ll provide leadership, motivation, and direction to Team Members in the Health, Beauty, Wellness, and Baby departments while being accountable for the operating performance of your assigned department(s).

Responsibilities

• Interview, select, and train Team Members.
• Direct, oversee, and evaluate the work of Team Members, including appraising productivity and efficiency for promotions or status changes.
• Handle Team Member issues, including complaints and discipline.
• Plan, distribute, and assign work among Team Members.
• Ensure the safety and security of Team Members and the store.
• Manage the department budget, inventory, and compliance measures.
• Direct and evaluate training to reduce turnover, promote efficiency, and control labor costs.
• Provide motivational leadership, fostering respect, inclusion, and diversity.
• Identify team strengths and opportunities, and schedule strategically to develop future leaders.
• Maintain safety as the top priority for Team Members, guests, and products.
• Inspire the team and guests with a passion for food and exceptional service.
• Set and achieve aggressive sales and profit goals while managing shrink.
• Establish ongoing communication plans to keep Team Members informed and prepared.
• Collaborate with the merchandising team to ensure promotions are properly communicated.
• Make innovative suggestions to improve business performance.
• Review financial, LOB, and historical reports to enhance sales, profits, shrink, and labor controls.
• Oversee period inventories for accuracy and monitor weekly inventory fluctuations.
• Work with the HBW Program Manager and Event Planner to create locally inspired plans, events, and displays.
• Communicate top sellers, inventory levels, and product knowledge to Store Leaders and corporate HBW staff.
• Partner with vendors to create best-in-class displays, demos, and initiatives.
• Oversee ordering, receiving, and stocking of HBC (including specialty baby) products to ensure availability and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Retail work experience or Store Leader recommendation.
• Lifting requirement: Up to 50 pounds.
• Age requirement: At least 18 years old.

Qualifications (Desired)

• Retail leadership or supervisory experience.
• Successful performance as a Peer Trainer, in-store champion, or similar role.
• Demonstrated product knowledge relevant to the department.
• Satisfactory performance and discipline record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Pay

The hiring range for this position is $17.90–$20.875 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and location.
