Team Leader

About the role

This position is essentially a shift supervisor, without Performance Management responsibility. However, input on employee performance management issues is part of the position's responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support for operations team
• Affirm workplace safety
• Affirm adherence to quality requirements
• Affirm shift schedule production goals
• Facilitate efficient operations

Requirements

• Must have successfully completed Timken Manufacturing Operating System (TMOS) training (formerly called Lean Leader Academy)
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Computer skills including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office Word / Excel; SAP
• Experience and skill in manufacturing operations
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred
• Experience in production planning, flow, and lean manufacturing principles

Schedule

1st shift: Regular work hours from 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday – Friday. Overtime as needed.
2nd shift: Regular work hours from 3:00pm to 11:00pm, Monday – Friday. Overtime as needed.
3rd shift: Regular work hours from 11:00pm to 7:00am, Sunday – Thursday. Overtime as needed.
