Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a project team responsible for traffic design and production
- Serve as a day-to-day resource for technical guidance, mentorship, and problem-solving
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to allocate resources effectively
- Conduct regular staff meetings, workload planning, and project progress reviews
- Ensure compliance with DOT, AASHTO, and company standards on all deliverables
- Review and approve project plans, specifications, and reports for accuracy and completeness
- Participate in performance reviews and support staff professional development plans
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation
- Assist Group Leaders with business development and proposal efforts as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required
- 10+ years of progressive experience in traffic design and project management
- Proven ability to lead and develop project teams
- Working knowledge of TXDOT and municipal standards
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
