Team-Lead
About the role
The Cabinet Builder Lead position is under the direction of the Cabinet Shift Manager. This role is integral to the mission and goals of Clayton Homes, a Berkshire Hathaway company and the nation's leading housing provider.
Responsibilities
- Report any damages or defects to the Cabinet Manager.
- Verify all materials are being cut properly.
- Stock all materials correctly.
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed.
- Ensure all quality standards are met.
- Ensure all cabinets are properly packaged for delivery.
- Ensure all parts are cut and delivered for the cabinet installation.
- Verify Training Managers (TMs) are trained properly.
- Identify equipment failures and contact Maintenance.
- Notify Manager if TM is not staying on task or not following directions.
- Conduct a pre-shift meeting with your TMs and discuss safety topics and company current events.
- Be present at workstation wearing personal protection equipment and ready to work at starting time.
- Maintain a tidy work area.
Qualifications
- Proficient with the use of building tools and material for cabinet construction and installation.
- Strong knowledge of shop plans for construction and installation.
- Experience in cabinet building and installation preferred.
- Knowledge of common building materials used in residential, multi-family and commercial construction.
- Knowledge of component manufacturing processes used in residential, multi-family and commercial construction.
- Attention to detail, takes pride in quality of work.
- Efficient and able to complete assignments within a given deadline.
- Strong team work ethic.
- Communicates effectively with team members.
Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities
