Team Lead (Supervisor)- Night Shift

About the role

Columbia Forest Products has a Team Lead (Supervisor) opening at our Chatham, Virginia facility. We are looking for an experienced leader who respects and values others and their contributions. Managing with integrity and making others feel like family are important factors for us.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations within the manufacturing facility
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and efficiency
• Train and mentor team members to enhance productivity and skill development
• Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles
• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to align goals and expectations
• Solve problems proactively to maintain smooth operations and minimize downtime

Requirements

• Three to five years of manufacturing supervision experience
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• The ability to problem solve

Qualifications

• An Associate or Bachelor degree in Wood Science or Business Administration is preferred but not required
