About the role
At Avivo Village, we provide a safe, welcoming alternative to unsheltered homelessness where individuals can focus on stability, recovery, and securing permanent housing. As a Team Lead, you play a critical role in creating that environment every day.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and work direction to Resident Advocates during assigned shifts
- Support a safe, welcoming, and trauma-informed environment for residents and staff
- Respond to urgent participant situations and support staff in problem-solving and decision-making
- Cook up shift operations and help ensure program goals and service standards are met
- Train, mentor, and support staff through onboarding and ongoing development
- Promote Housing First, harm reduction, recovery-oriented, and trauma-informed practices throughout the program
- Monitor documentation, outcomes, and program compliance requirements
- Collaborate with leadership and community partners to support participant success
- Foster accountability, teamwork, and a culture of dignity and respect
- Support Avivo’s commitment to undoing racism and reducing disparities through daily practice and staff coaching
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- Minimum of four years of experience providing direct services in behavioral health, homelessness services, housing, human services, or a related field
- Experience working in a fast-paced, diverse, and mission-driven environment
- Experience providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and harm reduction services
- Experience using electronic health records and documentation systems
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and support staff performance
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
