Team Lead - Overnight Shift (7 pm to 5:30 am)
About the role
Monitors distribution operations by ensuring a constant flow of complete and correct inbound shipments, outgoing shipments, and internal record keeping.
Responsibilities
- Maintain full understanding and operation of the control desk, including opening and closing the day.
- Monitor all incoming order workflow and ensure work is printed properly and dispersed to shipping associates.
- Ensure all work is completed as required by daily processes, and all orders are shipped at the requested time.
- Ensure all trailers are being loaded/unloaded properly and all quality expectations are being met.
- Have the ability to troubleshoot and provide resolution to issues that may arise.
- Ensure all desk functions are being followed to hit all expected metrics – fill rate, productivity, and quality.
- Answer any questions the associates may have in reference to their picking and receiving functions.
- Through Career Path, develop further skills in the Warehouse in order to be multi-skilled and able to support across the teams when required (e.g. samples, Inbound or Outbound – Inclusive of associated processes).
Requirements
- 2+ years Warehouse or Production environment experience.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrate numeracy skills.
- Knowledge in MS Excel, MS Word and have used a RF scanners or similar systems.
- Willingness to learn.
- Material handling equipment certification or MHE experience.
- Proven organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- A full understanding of working to good distribution principles, ideally within the healthcare industry.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge and a good understanding of OSHA.
