Team Leadership & Development

  • Mentor and train quality inspectors on inspection techniques, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Resource allocation to ensure timely inspection throughout.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the quality team.
  • Track and report out on production issues and stock investigations.
  • Avoidance of unnecessary delays in workflow.

Process Improvement

  • Identify bottlenecks in the inspection process and implement lean improvements to increase throughput and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to refine incoming quality requirements based on recurring supplier issues.

Essential Responsibilities

  • As the Team Lead for Incoming Material Quality Inspection, you will:
  • Mentor and train quality inspectors on inspection techniques, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Resource allocation to ensure timely inspection throughout.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the quality team.
  • Track and report out on production issues and stock investigations.
  • Avoidance of unnecessary delays in workflow.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to refine incoming quality requirements based on recurring supplier issues.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma with continuing education in a Technical School preferred.
  • Experience: 3 years in manufacturing environment with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T); proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and digital Quality Management Systems; solid understanding of industry-specific quality standards, Lean Manufacturing principles, and Six Sigma methodology; analysis (RCA) or Corrective/Preventative Actions (CAPA) as required; PC knowledge required; communication and organizational skills required; able to lead the team and address team as needed; able to lift 35 lbs.; able to be on feet and walking for hours; able to sit and do computer work for hours.
