Full-time, evening shift position (12:00 PM – 8:30 PM) with rotating weekends and holidays. Eligible for shift pay differentials.
About the role
Provides non-supervisory leadership and frontline support to the Food and Nutrition team. Assists with coordinating daily task assignments, training and onboarding new team members, ensuring readiness of supplies and equipment, and supporting performance standards through quality checks and peer coaching. Acts as a role model for quality, safety, and accountability, fostering a positive team culture and consistent execution of departmental policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily work assignments and coverage plans to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Lead or support team huddles, shift briefings, and ongoing communication across the Food and Nutrition Services team.
- Participate in inventory management, supply readiness, and organization of equipment or materials.
- Serve as a peer role model in high-pressure, complex, or sensitive care areas, demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail.
- Conduct quality checks and performance audits; support real-time correction of issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- ServSafe Manager Certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment and use basic computer skills.
- Must wear protective equipment/clothing as required by the environment or government regulations (e.g., gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear).
- Adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements for safe food production.
- Ability to climb ladders.

- Reaching, standing for long periods, squatting, bending.
- Carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time.
