A Team Lead’s primary responsibility will be the accurate, timely, and quality completion of Electrical Engineering scopes assigned to the team. The Team Lead will assist in the development of the department’s Standard Best Practices (SBP’s) and enforcing/implementing them when pertinent. Team Leads will be a mentor and coach to team members on their team and help them grow individually as professionals.This opportunity is only available to candidates in or around Midland/Odessa, TX via remote. Candidates can work remotely from this geographical location. Essential Responsibilities Works directly with the Director of Oil and Gas market vertical to grow and scale a team in the heart of the Permian Basin with some overlap in Delaware BasinHelp formulate a business plan annually in conjunction with other Team Leads in the market as well as the DirectorEnsures high backlog, utilization, and margins on project workLeverages Resource Planning Tools to ensure balance of workload across peersAssigns work to and coordinates work with entry-level engineers, technicians, or administrative staffSupports business development via Seller-Doer, assists with marketing tasks, and prepares proposals as neededAssists with establishing and managing engineering budget and scope expectations.Prepare technical write-up for applicable change ordersReviews submittals for conformance with client specifications and designAttends safety training and follow safety rules and guidelinesWorks additional time beyond 40 hours/week to complete projects, proposals and/or administrative functions, as requiredMaintains strong and responsive Company-Client relationships, particularly for communication pertaining to specific assignments and meeting topicsManages and supports team member development and growth through individualized development plans and servant leadershipSeeks opportunities for value engineering and efficiencies in designPrepares a variety of documents and reports associated with projects including cost estimates, budget reports, proposals, and studiesVisits with key, platinum accounts to give quarterly business updates and solicit feedbackAttends conferences, training workshops, seminars, regular undergraduate, and graduate classes as appropriate for advancement and as required to maintain quality of workMaintains high ethical and professional standards while showing strong judgementMaintains professional understanding of all applicable Codes and Standards, and construction practicesReviews and verifies the work of engineers, designers, drafters, and field service personnel for general quality and accuracyAssists with establishing and managing engineering budget and scope expectations.Prepare technical write-up for applicable change ordersReviews of submittals for conformance with client specifications and designProvides field assistance, troubleshooting, and observation reportsChecking the work of designers, drafters, and field service personnel for general quality and accuracy as requiredOther duties as assignedMust Have Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution, electric power option preferredExperience: 5+ years of engineering or relevant field experienceLicensure: PE is preferred but can be offset with industry experienceProfessional, articulate, and able to exercise good independent judgement and discretionHighly organized, motivated self-starterProven record of delivering a high standard of quality work with attention to detailComfortable working with limited information to create system designs and plansFlexible and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment with a quickly growing teamGood interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills; ability to interact successfully at all levels of the organization; high emotional intelligenceAbility to develop staff through mentoring and coachingPossesses effective written and oral communications skillsGood interpersonal and people skillsApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basisApplicants must physically live within the Midland/Odessa Texas areaNice to Have Previous leadership experience within a consulting organizationProficiency with power system software such as PSSE, PSCAD, PLSCADD, ETAP, SKMProficiency with AI tools such as ChatGPT and/or CopilotProficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and standard computer softwarePrevious experience in the Oil & Gas industry, specifically in power engineeringPrevious experience with contracts, rates, T&CsPay Range - $125,000 - $175,000 base, + benefits, + year end bonus.
