Team Lead - Electrical

About the role
This position serves as a Team Leader while also supporting Electricians with breakdown calls, emergent issues, and accurate documentation. The role involves troubleshooting and programming Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs, modifying electrical circuits, interpreting blueprints and schematics, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes. Supervisory responsibilities include training, scheduling, performance management, and maintaining a safe and organized electrical shop.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and make program edits using Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs.
- Modify existing electrical circuits to add relays, push buttons, sensors, and other components.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and design documents.
- Ensure all electrical work meets local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Maintain a clean and organized electrical shop.
- Supervise, train, and schedule electricians and other employees.
- Address performance, complaints, and disciplinary matters.
- Perform breakdown calls and emergent support as needed.
- Document and maintain accurate records of electrical work and incidents.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Five to ten years of related work experience.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proven experience managing and supervising employees.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Frequently climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions
- Work duties split between an office setting (70%) and the plant production floor (30%).
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vehicular traffic, and a wide range of temperatures in the plant.
- Frequently loud noise levels in the plant.
- The Massillon plant and grounds are tobacco-free, including electronic cigarettes.
