About the Role
This onsite Team Lead position is based at our Whitsett manufacturing facility. The role involves supervising a diverse team to ensure efficient, high-quality production, including monitoring work progress, training employees, and communicating production goals and procedure changes. Candidates must have prior Team Lead experience, a strong understanding of assembly processes, and a focus on quality and efficiency.
Schedule
Base schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Ability to work overtime as needed is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead safety toolbox talks, participate in monthly plant safety meetings, and 6S Kaizen events.
- Perform in-process layered audits to ensure procedures are followed and documentation is completed thoroughly.
- Maintain LDM boards with accurate data, owners, and actions.
- Update hour-by-hour boards to track team performance and work order status.
- Review and execute work-center schedules for on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance department to optimize machine uptime.
- Assign daily tasks and duties to operators.
- Manage rework and scrap processes.
- Maintain accurate inventory data for scrap, excess, and other components.
- Maintain FIFO and WIP lanes.
- Lead and participate in kaizen events to eliminate waste and increase productivity.
- Work with the training coordinator to develop team members.

Requirements
- Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated integrity in all aspects of performance.
- Ability to perform work safely and stand for long periods (up to 10 hours).
- Critical thinking skills to evaluate alternative solutions and approaches.
- Problem-solving skills to detect issues and execute solutions.
- High attention to detail, including following instructions and executing production accurately.
- Ability to manage a diverse team.
- Ability to disseminate information thoroughly and accurately to a multilingual population.
- At least 1–3 years of leadership experience as a Team Lead or similar role.
