Team Lead
Ranew's Companies is seeking a Team Lead to join our growing team in Waterloo, IA.
About the role
As a Team Lead, you will ensure that all team members efficiently utilize their skills and training. You will verbally instruct employees to complete tasks and functions in which they are cross-trained, assess workload distribution, and direct cross-trained employees to undertake additional or alternative duties to meet operational demands and achieve team objectives. You will provide leadership and line management, coordinate workloads, monitor issues, and ensure production targets and quality standards are met to satisfy customer requirements. This role focuses on developing the team by addressing individual performance and support needs while fostering a culture of safety. You will work under general supervision, with decisions and results impacting the success of the functions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and train department personnel to ensure verbatim compliance with written work instructions and procedures.
- Coordinate and schedule Assembly and Test Kick-Off meetings with respective departments.
- Perform visual, dimensional, and alloy identity inspections of randomly selected parts for compliance to project requirements.
- Review existing tooling, gauging, and fixtures and make improvements to increase department efficiency.
- Maintain equipment and facilities through the procurement of materials and hardware.
- Follow through on hardware and software issues requiring services of other departments to ensure timely completion.
- Attend Project Status meetings and provide input.
- Responsible for safety practices and procedures and implement corrective actions.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Good leadership skills.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Basic knowledge of computer functions, including the ability to use multiple computer systems and programs.
Pay
$18 - $26 per hour (starting pay is based on experience and shift).
Schedule
Full-Time, 1st Shift.
