Team Lead

About the role

The Team Lead assists in supervising and managing all day‑to‑day store operations while ensuring 100% compliance with all established company policies and procedures. The role provides leadership, guidance, and training to store staff under direction from the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. In the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, the Team Lead assumes full responsibility for all store operations and consistently strives to meet and exceed sales, service, and operational objectives. The position may be full‑time or part‑time.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Create, establish, and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience.
• Maintain and reinforce current service level standards.
• Provide service training and leadership to staff members.
• Manage customer issues with urgency and to the customer’s satisfaction.
• Process all POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure, including sales, discounts, refunds, and loyalty transactions.
• Execute opening and closing procedures.
• Inventory control responsibilities, including:
  • Shipping and receiving
  • Price management (price changes, markdowns, etc.)
  • Singles and damaged merchandise handling
  • Conducting physical inventory counts
• Sales‑floor merchandising and visual presentation responsibilities, including:
  • Merchandise placement
  • Sales‑floor maintenance and housekeeping
  • Promotional event directions, materials, and signage
• Payroll control responsibilities, including scheduling, payroll budget compliance, and time & attendance tracking.
• Training and development of direct reports, utilizing all available training tools and consistently reinforcing customer service standards.
• Loss‑prevention responsibilities to protect and control all company assets.
• Work toward a complete understanding of managing all day‑to‑day operations.
• Maintain principal working relationships with customers, sales associates, store management, district/regional managers, and store operations and training personnel.

• Approved background check.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Managerial and organizational skills.

Pay

Hourly rate: $12.00 – $15.60.
