Team Lead

About the Role

The Team Lead assists in supervising and managing all day‑to‑day store operations while ensuring 100% compliance with all established company policies and procedures. The role provides leadership, guidance, and training to store staff under direction from the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. In the absence of both managers, the Team Lead assumes full responsibility for all store operations. The position may be full‑time or part‑time and consistently strives to meet and exceed sales, service, and operational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Create, establish, and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience while reinforcing current service level standards.
• Provide service training and leadership to staff members.
• Manage customer issues with urgency and to the satisfaction of the customer.
• Process all POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure, including sales, discounts, refunds, and loyalty transactions.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Control inventory, including shipping and receiving, price management (price changes, markdowns), handling singles and damaged merchandise, and conducting physical inventories.
• Maintain sales‑floor merchandising and visual presentation according to company standards, including merchandise placement, floor maintenance, housekeeping, and promotional event direction, materials, and signage.
• Control payroll, including scheduling, payroll budget compliance, and time & attendance.
• Train and develop direct reports using all available training tools and consistently reinforce customer service standards.
• Loss‑prevention responsibilities to protect and control all company assets in accordance with policies.
• Work toward a complete understanding of managing all day‑to‑day operations.
• Collaborate with customers, sales associates, store management, district/regional manager, and store operations and training personnel.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved background check.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Managerial and organizational skills.

Pay

Hourly rate: $17.64 – $22.93.
