About the role

This role supports the practice management team, promoting and guaranteeing premium and professional eyecare experiences with every patient. You will help establish the practice as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community by supporting key optical and lab processes and ensuring unsurpassed patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Supports all primary care functions within the practice, including leading and maintaining patient and customer flow, guiding eyecare advisors and sales associates, participating in pre-exam activities, selling products, and demonstrating superior product and process knowledge.
  • Conveys a commitment to providing unsurpassed patient care to every patient, every time.
  • Leads peers through difficult or complex tasks.
  • Anticipates problems before they occur, explores root causes, and develops long-term solutions.
  • Supports the practice management team in delivering key performance indicators.
  • Acts as a catalyst for change within the practice, supporting company initiatives such as new technology, processes, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensures all Company-approved safety programs are implemented and maintained.
  • Works weekends and evenings as needed to support business requirements (varies by location).
  • Adheres to attendance and daily timekeeping requirements, company policies, and procedures.
  • Consistently maintains proper dress code.
  • Performs within the division of responsibility as designated by the Practice Manager.
  • Performs other functions as assigned by the Practice Manager or as business needs arise.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong customer service and retail experience; preferably in optical and patient experience.
  • Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise or ability to master in a short timeframe.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Familiarity with technology, such as point-of-sale systems, patient record systems, and other software applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ABO certification.
  • 1+ year of supervisory experience, preferably in an eyecare environment.
  • Customer/patient care experience.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.38 - $31.26 per hour. Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. You may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan.
