About the Role
The Team Lead at LensCrafters creates exceptional value in the lives of customers and patients by delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring they are always delighted. This role assists in achieving store success by managing key optical and lab processes (if applicable) and systems to deliver exceptional results.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the LensCrafters team provides unsurpassed customer service.
- Proactively address customer needs with accurate execution and product knowledge.
- Assist customers with selections and provide recommendations.
- Serve as a responsible alternate store key holder.
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses (if applicable in Lab).
- Strengthen associates' knowledge, skills, and certification in foundational product and store processes related to lens and lab technology.
- Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
- Create a safe working environment, demonstrating safe work practices.
- Perform basic operation, cleaning, and ongoing maintenance of lab tools and systems.
Requirements
- HS diploma/GED.
- Strong optical and retail experience.
- Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Sales skills and problem-solving ability.
- Familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators.
- Leadership and training experience.
- Edging and mounting experience.
- Basic optics knowledge and optical measurement experience.
Qualifications
- State licensure (if applicable) and/or ABO Certification in non-licensed states (preferred).
- LensCrafters Final Eyewear Inspector Certification (preferred).
- LensCrafters Quality, Fitting & Adjusting Program (preferred).
- Optical machinery/instruments experience (preferred).
- Customer service experience (preferred).
- AccuFit Digital Measurement System certification (preferred).
- Knowledge of current store merchandise and lens options (preferred).
Pay
Pay Range: $20.13 - $34.24
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. Additionally, a competitive bonus and/or commission plan may be offered, complementing a first-class total rewards package.
