About the role

This position is for a Team Lead at a child care center. We are seeking energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18 years old and have:

  • Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans.
  • College credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree or a CDA, preferred.
  • The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
  • Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

You will be:

  • Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care.
  • Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation.
  • Communicate and build relationships with families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.
  • Mentor by being responsible for, or assisting with, the management, training, and mentoring of new hires and your fellow Teachers.
  • Create fun, interactive learning experiences to share with the preschool children.
  • Take on the duties of Director or Assistant Director in his/her absence, including opening and closing the school.
  • Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans.
  • Have college credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree or a CDA, preferred.
  • Be able to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
  • Be able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

  • A college degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
  • A CDA (Child Development Associate) certification.

Skills

Essential skills required for this role include:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and educational theories.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
