Team Lead

About the role

As a Team Lead at a child‑care center you will serve as a teacher, communicator, mentor, and leader. You will promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children, manage classroom activities, build relationships with families, train and mentor new hires, and step into Director or Assistant Director duties when needed.

Responsibilities

• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children in your care.
• Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation, with classroom instruction comprising at least 50% of the weekly schedule.
• Communicate and build relationships with families to support child achievement and center success.
• Manage, train, and mentor new hires and fellow teachers, creating fun, interactive learning experiences.
• Assume Director or Assistant Director duties in their absence, including opening and closing the school.
• Ensure daily care of every child by following licensing guidelines and company standards.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans.
• College credits toward an Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree, or a CDA (preferred).
• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Willingness to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Pay

$18.61 – $19.33 per hour
