Responsibilities

• Unload and break down freight (e.g. trucks, trailers, rail cars, etc.)
• Sort and organize freight
• Operate various types of material handling equipment (forklift, electric pallet jacks, order selectors)
• Operate warehouse machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures (e.g. bailers, trash compactors, shrink wrappers, etc.)
• Pick, scan, sort, and label
• Identify unusable pallets
• Read, count, and use RF Scanner technology (training provided)
• Select and scan items using RF Scanner for accuracy
• Maintain work area in a clean and hazard-free condition

Requirements

• 6 months warehouse experience (preferred but willing to train)
• Work in a physically demanding warehouse environment – continuously lifting and moving up to 50 lbs
• Ability to operate material handling equipment preferred (e.g. electric pallet jack, forklift, order selector)
• Meet fast-paced productivity goals and standards
• Excellent customer service required
• Overtime/Weekends will be required during peak/seasonal volumes
• Ability to work in various climate conditions (potentially including cooler/freezers)
• Reliable transportation with the ability to arrive on time
• Standing/climbing 8 to 10 hours per day
• Effective communication skills
• Safety shoes are required
• Other duties as assigned

Pay

$24.00 per hour

Schedule

• Weekend Shift: Friday to Sunday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Must be willing to train the 1st week on the Monday to Friday schedule
