Responsibilities
- Interact with employees and management daily to foster a positive work environment
- Assign tasks to personnel to ensure efficiency standards are met without damaging products
- Ensure all carrier damages are noted on Bill of Landing and stored appropriately pending inspection
- Process receipts and assign trailers to the dock using Yard Management
- Absorb and resolve inbound/outbound discrepancies promptly
- Operate various types of material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, clamp truck, cherry picker, reach truck)
- Handle orders and guarantee smooth shipment processing according to customer needs
- Handle the sample, damage, and return goods workflows
- Work with warehouse computer applications (WM, Traxx, RF Term, etc.)
- Placard all loads as required (government, military, export, etc.)
- Collaborate with RAQA on validation of systems and system changes
- Use accurate pallets and packaging for product shipments as required by customer or country
- Participate in projects and teams to continuously improve operations in safety, quality, service, and cost
- Assure compliance to procedures related to Regulatory, Environmental, Health, and Safety Requirements, including spills, damages, and returns
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Maintain a daily Powered Industrial Truck Inspection Checklist
- Complete Pick/Pack documents for Freezer products and packing lists as required
- Document inventory discrepancies
- Complete training assignments on time
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, talk, hear, use hands to handle materials, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Frequently required to walk, lift, and/or move up to 65 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Must successfully complete a vision test with at least 20/40 acuity in both eyes and peripheral vision of 70 or greater
- Must successfully complete a hearing test
- Regularly exposed to moving Powered Industrial Equipment, extreme cold, and extreme heat
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
- Perform all assigned duties and additional tasks, including cross-training
- Follow all Health and Safety procedures
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of warehouse experience
- General knowledge of material flow and distribution processes
- Understanding of sample, damage, and return goods procedures
- Previous work in a warehouse environment
- Ability to drive a forklift (stand up, sit down, reach)
- Good telephone communication skills to interact with product vendor locations
- Computer skills (Microsoft Word/Excel, etc.)
- Good Manufacturing Standards
- Warehouse Management Systems experience
