Team Lead, AppSec

Responsibilities

• Lead application and product security initiatives across various software
• Evolve and enhance the pentest program, focusing on continuous security testing and vulnerability remediation
• Proactively integrate AI solutions within the application security function
• Oversee remediation workflows and vulnerability management collaboratively with Engineering teams
• Partner with cross-functional teams to implement controls that mitigate external exposures
• Support the security review process for AI-generated work before production deployment
• Develop and mentor a team of senior engineers, ensuring high standards and coverage for offensive testing

Qualifications

• Typically has 7+ years in application security, offensive security, or product security with leadership experience
• Hands-on pentesting and code-review expertise in web applications, APIs, and AWS cloud infrastructure
• Experience in building or scaling security testing programs including scoping, tooling, and remediation SLAs
• Solid understanding of AI/LLM attack surfaces and security vulnerabilities specific to AI-generated code
• Proficiency in modern programming languages like Ruby, Python, or Go, and secure SDLC practices
• Strong ability to communicate security risks and priorities to both engineers and executives
• Typically holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree

Pay

$175,000 – $200,000 annually
