Team Lead - 2nd Shift

About the role

Maintains a safe working environment for all employees. Leads teams of 15-20 associates or 4-5 assembly cells including coaching on safety, quality, productivity and company policies. Supports supervisors and cell leads to help direct / balance work in the assembly cells. Answers Andon lights and resolves any assembly cell issues. Works with Plant Production with regards to inspection approvals, including internal 1st piece and customer first article approvals. Monitors cell throughput, performs waste walks as needed. Monitors cell breakdown and 5S cleanup. Completes in-process audits of production work cells, including part and production process audits. Responds to problems occurring during production assembly process. Supports setup team as needed. Assists in identifying the need for assembly fixtures and evaluates error proofing in production work cells. Gathers information on Product Hold Tickets and Complaints issues. Drives the execution and continuous improvement of the quality policy and procedures (reduced scrap/waste, customer returns, etc). Provides feedback to Production Management team on issues affecting production and / or completion of an order. Initiates, recommends and / or provides solutions to address issues via the appropriate channels.

Requirements

• 1+ year’s demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Internal ORBIS Employee Operator 2 Level, production full cycle operator or positions or higher
• No more than 3 attendance points
• No disciplinary actions above Verbal Warning

Qualifications

• Less than 3 years of relevant work experience

Skills

• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Experience in two companies, one vision
