Team Captain Operations

As a Team Captain of Operations, you’ll lead store operations to ensure a consistent, athlete-ready experience. You’ll coach your team to deliver strong execution across merchandising, pricing, signage, inventory, fulfillment, and stockroom processes. Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by anticipating needs and providing accurate, knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards, including floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment.
• Promote and lead company programs such as customer loyalty participation, warranty sales, and private label credit card enrollment.
• Contribute to 30-60-90 day plans to support business priorities for assigned department(s) alongside the Store Manager (SM) and Assistant Store Manager (ASM).
• Establish and execute operational plans, including staffing, hiring, merchandising sets, and financial goals, adjusting as needed based on effectiveness.
• Act as Head Coach when the sole leader in the building, overseeing opening/closing procedures, Front End, Cash Office, teammate supervision, and general store operations.
• Communicate departmental goals and plans to direct reports, assigning workloads based on skill levels to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor progress against plans, pivoting as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations and athlete support while meeting payroll and financial goals.
• Develop and adjust teammate schedules to meet athlete traffic demands while completing operational and merchandising initiatives.
• Build and lead a strong team by sourcing, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retaining direct reports.
• Provide coaching, feedback, development, recognition, and motivation throughout the teammate lifecycle, including performance management and promotional recommendations.
• Hold teammates accountable for compliance with policies, procedures, and performance expectations, including termination recommendations when necessary.
• Create an inclusive store environment where teammates and athletes are always welcome and treated with respect.
• Adhere to and enforce safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures, as well as external laws and guidelines.
