Duties/Responsibilities
- Teach graduate and/or undergraduate students in assigned course(s) or applied lessons.
- Hold office hours to assist and advise students.
- Participate in relevant departmental meetings and/or other service.
Qualifications
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, performer’s certificate or substantial documented professional achievement in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated teaching experience in a specified field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or earned doctorate or appropriate terminal degree in a relevant field by date of appointment.
- Teaching experience at the college level in relevant area of discipline, evidence of interest and success in teaching.
- Performance experience with a nationally known ensemble is preferred for positions teaching individual instrumental lessons.

Pay and Benefits
- Pay Range: $41,600 - $99,999; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
- Classroom and Ensemble Teaching Specialists and Lecturers: Compensated at a per-credit basis that varies between $2,000 and $3,000.
- Applied Teaching Specialists and Lecturers: Compensated at a per-hour/unit basis. One hour can include a lesson, studio class, or chamber ensemble. Compensation for one hour varies between $100 and $150/hour.
- Applied Lessons: Compensated per unit (hourly rate x 15 lessons) and may vary between $1,500 and $2,250.
