At Residing Hope, we believe that children and families should be empowered to experience the transforming love of Christ through evidence-based care and holistic services. This is reflected in our work as we care for children in crisis, including those abused, abandoned or neglected. We give love, hope, and a place to live to more than 500 children through group homes, foster care, an independent living program, and specialized therapy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required (degree preferred)
• Minimum age for this position is 21 years old
• Minimum of one year experience working with children, either in work or volunteer
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass an extensive background screening process, including the Diana Screen (a scientifically validated online sexual risk screen designed to help identify individuals who may not recognize appropriate sexual boundaries between adults and children)
• All candidates must be screened through the Florida Clearinghouse as part of our commitment to safety and child protection

Responsibilities

• Work with youth whose behaviors can reflect trauma-related experiences
• Strong communication skills, including accurate and detailed writing abilities for case notes
• Work effectively with co-workers
• Set appropriate limits and boundaries
• Handle confidential issues appropriately
• Demonstrate energy and flexibility to meet the changing needs of children/youth
• Handle multiple tasks and make sound decisions
• Respond to emergencies and follow appropriate protocols
• Build trusting relationships with clients and effectively engage clients from diverse cultures
• Demonstrate sensitivity to the service population

Pay

$41,485 annually

Schedule

Live-in position: one week on (Tuesday to Tuesday), followed by one week off.
