Teaching Associate for Biology

About the role

The Department of Biology at Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for a Teaching Associate (part-time adjunct faculty) starting at the beginning of the Spring 2027 semester. The successful candidate must be able to teach lectures and labs for introductory biology (BIOL 121, BIOL 121L, BIOL 122, BIOL 122L) for biology and related STEM majors.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to five (5) classes/labs each semester.
• Participate in departmental activities.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD degree in Biology (or equivalent) with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Biology.
• Ability to teach lectures and labs for introductory biology courses (BIOL 121, BIOL 121L, BIOL 122, BIOL 122L) for biology and related STEM majors.
• University-level experience teaching introductory biology lectures and labs is encouraged.
