Teaching Assistant In-School Suspension
Duties
- Provide academic and instructional support to individual or small groups of students under the direct supervision of appropriate teacher and/or administrative personnel.
- Prepare instructional materials as needed; including maintaining appropriate records of student progress under the direction of the appropriate staff member.
- Provide assistance with related instructional work and available resources as required.
- Communicate with students, staff, and family members for academic and behavioral purposes and/or concerns.
Qualifications
- NYS Teacher or Teaching Assistant certification required (or ability to obtain immediately upon appointment).
- Prior experience as a teacher or a teaching assistant is preferred.
Benefits
