Job Description

We’re looking for a Teaching Assistant who brings emotional intelligence, resilience, and a fantastic sense of humour to our setting.
Responsibilities
- Aid in removing barriers to learning for students with special educational needs and/or social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
- Offer pastoral and academic support throughout the day, including 1:1 and overall support packages tailored to individual needs.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and support for personal and professional growth.
- Contribute to the school’s continuous improvement journey towards excellence.
Requirements
- A strong understanding of childhood traumas and their impact on education.
- A belief in the power of connection and the ability to turn challenges into opportunities.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs and/or social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a calm and supportive demeanor in challenging situations.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary qualification in a relevant field (e.g., teaching, psychology).
- Experience working in an alternative provision or special educational needs setting preferred but not required.

Pay and Schedule
