Job Summary
The Archdiocese of St. Louis seeks a Teaching Assistant to support students in grades K–8 at St. Clement of Rome Catholic School. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, assist with teaching, and integrate Catholic values.
Key Responsibilities
- Aid in daily lesson implementation and instructional activities.
- Provide individual and small group support to students across grades K–8.
- Maintain a structured, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support classroom management and reinforce positive behavior expectations.
- Prepare instructional materials and assist with classroom organization.
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other activities.
- Assist with assignments and reinforce learning concepts.
- Communicate effectively with teachers and staff regarding student needs and progress.
- Integrate and model Catholic values in interactions with students.
- Participate in school activities and meetings as appropriate.
- Support students' social, emotional, and spiritual development.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, flexible, and positive attitude.
- Commitment to Catholic education and values.
- Practicing Catholic preferred (depending on school requirements).
