About the role
The Teaching Apprentice Program (TAP) at Berwick Academy combines hands-on teaching experiences with graduate-level coursework leading to a M.Ed. from Lesley University.
Responsibilities
- Work full-time under the guidance of experienced Berwick mentors for an entire academic year
- Take graduate-level courses at Lesley University
- Teach in self-contained classrooms in the Lower School (Prek - Grade 4)
- Teach sections in Humanities, Math, English, History, Science, Art, and Spanish in the Middle School (Grades 5 - 8)
- Teach Math, English, History, Science, Art, Spanish, and Latin in the Upper School (Grades 9 - 12)
Requirements
- A successful graduate of an accredited undergraduate program, having earned a B.S. or B.A.
- Dedicated to meaningful experiences with children
- Committed to becoming a teacher
