Manage concurrent tasks effectively and complete assignments by deadlines.Organize arrangements for meetings and professional development classes.Maintain professional learning records.Anticipate and effectively support supervisors job related needs.Generate reports to provide data analysis for various programs.Handle routine matters in a professional manner in the absence of supervisor.Maintain an effective and efficiently run office, including the maintenance of accurate files and the generation of printing requests, copies, and other resources as needed.Maintain records and files for supervisor in an efficient, orderly, and accurate manner.Assist in monitoring monthly budget reports and submit all balances to supervisor on a monthly basis.Develop accurate budget amendments and travel requests.Prepare and review annual budgets for accuracy.Cooperate with and demonstrate a positive relationship with division, department, and other district employees.Communicate information concerning the science program to a variety of audiences, including parents, community, and school-based personnel.Serve as the first line customer service contact for the Science Office.Support supervisor by being knowledgeable of department programs and procedures.Support and organize student competitions in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) areas, such the Gwinnett Regional Science and Engineering Fair.Manage various financial and accounting duties.Submit miscellaneous payroll and other accounting tasks as required.Process purchase orders through PeopleSoft system and maintain current program budget balance.Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and/or reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
