About the Role

Make work meaningful and inspire young minds every day at Wirtzie’s Preschool & Childcare Program in Surprise, AZ. As a Teacher’s Assistant, you will support lead teachers in classroom activities and routines, assist with care and supervision, and help create a safe, nurturing, and fun learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Support lead teachers in classroom activities and routines.
• Assist with care, supervision, and engagement of children.
• Help create a safe, nurturing, and fun learning environment.
• Prepare materials, set up activities, and maintain a clean classroom.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation to the Surprise, AZ area.
• 1 year of current or recent experience in early care and education or related experience (volunteering, nannying, or weekend nursery work counts).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong customer service, organizational, and confidentiality skills.
• Must complete a pre-employment health appraisal and maintain updated health documentation every two (2) years thereafter in accordance with NAC accreditation standards.
• Ability to obtain certifications including Fingerprint Clearance, CPR, TB/Chest X-Ray, and Food Handler’s (support for certification costs provided).

Pay

$15.68 per hour (non-negotiable due to contract rates).

Schedule

• Shifts available: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM and 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Program closed on weekends.
