Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Teacher role based at St. Benedict Church and School in Holmdel, NJ. The Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering daily lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational standards. Responsibilities include managing the classroom environment, assessing learner progress, providing differentiated instruction, and maintaining accurate records of assignments, grades, and attendance. The Teacher will communicate regularly with families and colleagues, participate in professional development, collaborate on school initiatives, and support extracurricular or school-wide activities as needed. The role involves modeling positive behavior, fostering a respectful classroom culture, and supporting the mission and values of St. Benedict Church and School.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Education and Teaching, with demonstrated experience in a classroom or instructional setting.
- Ability to create thoughtful Lesson Planning that aligns with curriculum goals and supports diverse learning needs.
- Effective Communication skills for engaging learners, collaborating with colleagues, and partnering with families.
- Experience in Training or mentoring learners, including guiding group activities and supporting individual growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; relevant teaching certification or licensure preferred.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics, maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, and use positive behavior supports.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail in grading, reporting, and maintaining learner records.
- Comfort with using educational technology and digital tools to enhance instruction and communication.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and alignment with the school’s values and mission.
