Pay Level 1 - $1,050 per credit hour

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in education-related field required.
- M.Ed. Special Education preferred.
- Five (5) years of teaching experience in pk-12 special education setting required; college teaching experience preferred.
- Mentoring and/or coaching experience preferred.
- Expert knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding special education procedures, policies and laws required.
- Expert knowledge of developmental stages and best practices in special education evaluation, methods, and assessment required.
- Proficient working with learning management systems required.
- Proficient computer skills and Microsoft applications knowledge required.
Requirements
- Adjunct Teacher Education faculty are needed to teach classes at the Community College of Baltimore County in pk-12 Special Education.
- Classes may include in-person during the day, remote synchronously in the evening, and 100% online through CCBC’s learning management system.
- Adjunct faculty are expected to prepare and deliver instruction, monitor student progress, cooperate with college support staff, and participate in required trainings and meetings.
- Adjunct Faculty are selected based on the needs of the program, applicant proficiency, course availability, and student enrollment.
- Interested candidates are encouraged to indicate their availability during the semester and in which modality (in-person, online, etc.) they would like to be considered.
