TEACHER, SECONDARY (MIDDLE) - MATH, 6TH GRADE
About the role
Teaches specific grade level subject matter to diverse middle school student population following District standards-based curriculum. Helps all students develop competence and confidence simultaneously through a balance of acquiring basic skills and developing conceptual understanding.
Responsibilities
- Counsels students to encourage and support student achievement.
- Makes sure students follow school and District rules and policies.
- Evaluates student performance and behavior.
- Puts together lesson plans and uses different teaching methods.
- Teaches students in small groups and one-on-one.
- Reports student progress and grades.
- Communicates with parents and teachers about student issues.
- Participates in extra-curricular activities as needed.
Requirements
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- A Master's Degree is required for Concurrent Enrollment positions.
- Has a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license.
- Lives and works with a permanent home address in Colorado.
- Can perform the physical demands of the position.

Pay
Salary listed for the 2025–2026 school year. Salaries for the 2026–2027 school year are typically finalized and released mid-summer, with an effective date of August 1.
