About the role

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare lessons based on content knowledge and educational standards.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited college or university.
• Hold a valid Pennsylvania certification for Middle Level Mathematics 6-9 or Mathematics 7-12.
• Proven knowledge in the assigned subject area.
• A positive attitude towards teaching and service to the district.
• Proficiency in using current technology for instruction.
• Able to adjust work schedule to accommodate student and parent needs.
• Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and provide sound judgment.

Pay

Salary placement is dependent on education and years of teaching service. Refer to Appendix B of the DAEA Agreement for the 2026-2027 Salary Schedule.

Schedule

7.5 hours per day based on the district-approved calendar, up to 191 days per year, plus up to 3 days of orientation for professional employees during the first year of employment.
